The first step is to come along to one of our acting workshops on Saturday 20 January 2018. Anyone who wants to be involved can be, but children must attend the workshop to be part of the production.
Young performers aged 7yrs-11yrs are invited to attend our acting workshop from 2pm-3:15pm.
Young performers ages 12yrs-16yrs are invited to attend our acting workshop from 3:45pm-5pm.
The workshops will take place at Chester University, Queens Park Campus, Churchill Building.
“My own Mystery Plays ‘career’ began at age 16,” reminisced Chairman of the Chester Mystery Plays, Jo Sykes. “It changed my life!”
Artistic Director Peter Leslie Wild added: “We had some amazing child performers in the 2013 production – we’re looking forward to welcoming many of them back with, we hope, new performers as well. We will be offering some of them great speaking parts, and all will have the chance to be a part of this fantastic community spectacle.”
“I really would encourage any child or young person who is interested in theatre to get involved,” commented Jo. It’s a fabulous introduction to the stage and such a brilliant experience – you’ll make memories and friends for life!”
